Graffiti workshop with ikaroz

Last thursday we had a graffiti workshop with Ikaroz, who is a famous swedish graffiti writer. I think it was a lot of fun not working on our computers and just go nuts with the cans and be as crazy and creative as we possible could be. It seemed like everyone really enjoyed the workshop, I especially liked talking to Ikaroz about famous spots and old piece and I felt that we got a lot in common. I’ll probably drop by his studio next time I’m in sthlm. At the end of the day I got half of a character painting he did in the classroom (the other one another classmate got).

Don’t forget to check out his blog “Ikaroz NG TD” where you can find even more of his great work.

branding and visual design

This tuesday we started with a new module that will go on until the 20th and this time we all switch what we had worked on the last module with another group.

Brief from group 5

Reviu´s vision is to make it easier for both consumers and retailers by archiving customer receipts in our digital vault to avoid getting lost or destroyed.

Job description

We would like you to produce a graphical profile - complete with a punchline, the front page for our web and a concept for the mobile app that we will supply our customers.

Target audience

Primary target group is people that shops online, the secondary group is online retailers.

Objectives

We want people to start archiving their receips online in our digital vault.

Substantiation

This is some of the words we would like to be associated to our brand and it’s image:

  • Trust
  • Simplicty
  • Environmental
  • Endurant
  • Fresh

Key response

We want people to find our products a desirable solution to a problem they didn’t know existed.

Consumers

We want this target group to show that much interest in our product that they start to demand this service from stores they used for shopping.

We want the consumers to realise that their has a environmental impact and it helps the environment at the same time at it helps themself.

We want the consumers to think thay they don’t have to put in any effort to keep track of their reciepts.

Retailers

We want the retailers to change their point of view on sharing their customer statistics - the more they share, the more they get out of it.

We want the retailers to see that customers demand this service and that they are happy to offer it to their customers. Desired brand character Humility Trustworthy

Butler

Today we had to pitch our idea for a jury in order to get investors. This module is called Digital Strategy and Development and has been going on for the last four weeks. The pitch went well and we did get our investor so I’m happy :)

Business description

Our idea is to enhance and modernize the restaurant experience. We will do this by creating a touch interactive software for an iPad, that will work as an interactive dining menu that com- municates with the kitchen, bar and service staff.

This is an up and coming market that has not yet been seen in Sweden. Even though we will divert ourselves from foreign competition with our expertise in design and user interfaces. We will offer a custom made interface for each restaurant with a graphic profile and delicious pictures of the food they’re serving. To make your food sound as delicious as it looks, we pro- vide great copywriting for all of your dishes and beverages.

We will have a large emphasis on making our clients exclusive. We will do this with personal meetings with consultation to really make sure they get value from our services and are pleased with the outcome.

Though, this doesn’t mean that a restaurant-chain won’t be able to get their chance to use our software. In the contrary we’d love to get them aboard.

We can easily change the structure of the system to fit different kinds of restaurants. A fast- food restaurant could provide the menu by having one iPad per table in a stand instead of having a waitress deliver one menu per person.

2They could also have it in the cue to make orders while standing in line, to give the cashiers a heads up on the orders.

To sell our software we will take request by phone or on our website. But we will also be traveling around visiting expos and restaurant owners. All of this to preserve the exclusivity we wan’t so that we can really customize our software to make sure each and every restau- rant gets a beautiful interface that goes hand in hand with their graphic profile and business idea.

The revenue will come from restaurants buying our product and services. what’s included is an interactive menu software, all of the custom design and copywriting made for each and every restaurant and a subscription to our services providing upkeep, support and updates.

What we are offering you as our client is a modern, hassle free, user interface-friendly and beautifully packaged way to communicate to the restaurants customers. It will also raise the efficiency and lower the workload for the restaurant staff.

All of this is adds up to a new interactive and fun restaurant experience that will keep the customers coming back for more and provides the tools for the restaurant staff to be more efficient.

For the future our system can also be applied to big warehouses. With this system you can easily browse between products, see their information and see where you can find them. This will create more convenient and hassle free shopping experience for the warehouse custom- ers and cut down on the workload for the staff, since they won’t in the same degree need to provide information to the customers since they can find it in our system.

Remember Lucy?

A while ago we had Lucy McRae here at hyper giving us a great and inspiring lecture about her work. She told us that she was working on a music video for Robyn and this is how the video turned out to be.
